Decades-old photos of Queen Camilla’s first wedding are a must-see for royal fans.


While we now know Queen Camilla for being married to His Majesty King Charles III, the Queen Consort was of course married once before saying ‘I do’ to her beloved Charles.

The Queen Consort met British Army Officer Andrew Parker Bowles in the 1960s, when her name was Camilla Shand. The pair later married on July 4th 1973, with Camilla’s children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes coming along later.

For children, Christmas lists generally include “must-have” gifts. You no doubt remember the ones from your childhood. And, of course children born in other generations have “top of the list” toys, too. The games, models, dolls, etc., may have changed through the generations, but the desire to find a favorite toy under the tree has remained unchanged.

In the late ’90s and early 2000s, children would promise to be nice if it meant Tickle Me Elmo (1996), Furbies (1998) or Bratz dolls (2002) would be under the tree.

A rare picture of Malayalam superstar Mammootty has surfaced online. One Sreenivasan Ramachandran, an alumnus of Maharaja’s College in Kochi, has shared the vintage picture of the superstar on his Facebook account. He also went down the memory lane as he remembered Mammootty as a “very stubborn” youngster, who nurtured a passion for acting.

Jacksonville Historical Society celebrates city’s 200th anniversary with old photos

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Did you know the Jacksonville Beach Pier opened an amusement park in 1926? Or that The Florida Theater opened in 1927 on the corner of Forsyth and Newnan Streets and was valued at $1.5 million?

Jacksonville’s bicentennial celebration is scheduled for June 11. The Jacksonville Historical Society is celebrating the city’s bicentennial with photos and information from the archives on Jacksonville’s past. The photos really tell a story of how Jacksonville came up to become the amazing city it is today.

Let’s take a dive back to the 1800s.
